Marjon is your go-to expert for all things circular economy, strategy and governance, supporting people and organisations in their journey to a more impactful and sustainable future.
Her values guide her to make a difference, stay connected to people, and maintain a 'glass is half-full' attitude.
Born in the Netherlands, Marjon studied Economics at Maastricht University and kicked off her career with Rabobank International in 1996. Over thirteen years, she took on various commercial and strategic director roles, helping the bank grow in different markets around the world, including the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and London.
After her time in banking, Marjon shifted to consulting and was trained in leadership development and executive and career coaching, working with people and organisations going through change.
In 2017, Marjon made a big move to Brisbane, Australia, and, wanting to contribute to a more sustainable world, found her passion in the holistic approach of the circular economy
Fast forward to 2023, she launched Aquilon Consulting. Using her extensive corporate experience and circular economy knowledge to help organisations transition from linear to circular models, with a strong focus on the role of people in this transition. Marjon is accredited as an Insights Discovery® Licensed Practioner.
Marjon also plays an important role as the Honorary Consul for Queensland for the Kingdom of the Netherlands since June 2021. In this role, she focuses on strengthening the ties between Queensland and the Netherlands, especially in circular economy initiatives and fostering trade and investment.

Marjon holds a master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Maastricht, a Diploma in Company Direction from the UK Institute of Directors, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
